Chopped Chili Garlic Green Beans

This was a great side dish to the Chinese Lemon Chicken we made this weekend.  I would suggest trimming the beans and then cutting them small with either a knife or a pair of kitchen scissors.  You may want to make a bit more of the sauce to enhance the flavor.

We will definitely make these again!

Ingredients

1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 (1-pound) bags fresh green beans, chopped
1 cup chopped green onions
1 lime, zested and juiced, divided
1 tablespoons soy sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced, or more to taste
1 teaspoon white sugar
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon chili crisp
1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds, for garnish

Directions

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add green beans and green onions. Cook, stirring often, until green beans begin to turn bright green and slightly char, about 5 minutes. Season with lime juice, soy sauce, garlic, sugar, and salt and continue cooking until sauce starts to thicken, about 2 minutes; remove from heat.

Add chili crisp, lime zest, and sesame seeds to green beans and toss well before serving. Serve immediately or chill before serving.
