Not So Sloppy Joes
Emily was asking a couple of weeks ago how come I haven't posted our Sloppy Joe recipe? As a Registered Dietitian she will occasionally share our recipes with her clients. So I promised the next time we had our "Not So Sloppy Joes" I would post the recipe.
This one came from Reynolds Slow Cooker Liner Bags box. They include a great recipe pamphlet in the carton. And trust us, those liners are the best!
Ingredients
1 Reynolds Slow Cooker Liner
2 lbs. ground beef, cooked and drained
1 large onion, chopped
1 Medium Green bell pepper, chopped
2 cups Ketchup
1 cup barbecue sauce
2 tablespoons each vinegar and Worcestershire Sauce
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
Instructions
Open slow cooker liner and place inside 6 qt slow cooker bowl.
Place beef, onion and peppers in the lined slow cooker in an even layer. Combine remaining ingredients in a medium bowl. Pour over beef and vegetables. Place lid on cooker. Cook on low for 5 hours.
You can make this without the liner but your clean up will be much harder!
